Spicy Black Pepper Beef, Mushroom And Veg Stir Fry


1 packet McCain Stir Fry African

600 grams beef cut for stir fry 

250 grams Mushrooms chopped

2 tablespoons cornstarch (Maizena)

2 tablespoons Oil

2 teaspoons black pepper crushed 

1 tablespoon garlic crushed

2 tablespoons Dark Soy Sauce

2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce

1 teaspoon tomato sauce

1 tablespoon brown sugar

2 tablespoons water

Noodles of choice

Salt and pepper




Prep Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 30 - 35 minutes

  1. Season the beef strips, add the cornstarch, toss well and keep aside
  2. Mix the dark soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, tomato sauce, sugar, water and black pepper
  3. Heat oil in a wok or skillet on medium to high heat
  4. Start frying the beef in batches and keep aside
  5. Add in the garlic, followed by the mushrooms and African Stir Fry mix, fry for 6 - 8 minutes
  6. Add in the stir fry sauce that you mixed, give it a good toss
  7. Add the beef back to the skillet and cook for 2 - 3 minutes
  8. Serve with noodles
