Chilli Con Carne Potato Shotz


1 packet McCain Potato Shotz 

2 tablespoons Oil

500 grams beef mince

1 onion diced

2 teaspoons crushed garlic

1 bay leaf

2 teaspoons cumin powder

1 teaspoon chilli powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon tomato paste

1 can chopped tomatoes

1 beef stock cube

½ cup water

Chopped coriander

1 cup sour cream

Salt and pepper

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 40 minutes

  1. Cook the McCain Potato Shotz according to instructions and keep aside
  2. In a pot, heat oil on medium heat and add the onions and bay leaf, after 5 minutes add the garlic, then the beef mince
  3. Once the water has dried, add the spices, cook for 2 minutes then add the tomato paste, water and canned tomatoes
  4. Season and cook for about 15 minutes until thickened, remove from the heat
  5. Smash the potato shotz with a fork and top with the mince, add dollops of sour cream and garnish with chopped coriander
