Chilli Con Carne Topped Crispers


1 packet McCain Crispers


350 grams beef mince

1 onion diced

2 teaspoons crushed garlic

1 bay leaf

2 teaspoons cumin powder

1 teaspoon chilli powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon tomato paste

1 can chopped tomatoes

1 beef stock cube

½ - 1 cup water

1 can red / black beans rinsed and drained

Chopped coriander

1/2 cup Greek yoghurt

Salt and pepper




Prep Time: 5 - 10 minutes
Total Time: 45 - 60 minutes

  1. Cook the McCain Crispers keep aside
  2. In a pot, heat oil on medium heat and add the onions and bay leaf, after 5 minutes add the garlic, then the beef mince
  3. Once the water has dried, add the spices, cook for 2 minutes then add the tomato paste, water and canned tomatoes
  4. Season and allow to cook for about 15 minutes before adding in the red/black beans, cook until thickened, remove from the heat
  5. Mix the yoghurt in a bowl with salt, pepper
  6. Top the crispers with the Chilli Con Carne mince, add dollops of yoghurt and garnish with chopped coriander
