Beef Mince, Potato & Pea Curry


1 cup McCain Garden Peas

2 cups McCain Diced Potato

2 tablespoons oil

1 kg lean beef mince

1 large onion sliced

2 tablespoons freshly ground garlic and ginger

1 teaspoons jeera (cumin) powder

1 teaspoon dhania (coriander) powder

3 tablespoons curry powder

2 tomatoes chopped

1 teaspoon tomato paste

Sprig of curry leaves

Salt and pepper to taste

Sprinkling of garam masala




Prep Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 45 minutes

  1. Begin by adding oil to your pot
  2. Add your chopped onions, garlic and ginger and sauté till brown
  3. Add your beef mince and allow to braise until the water released dries up
  4. Add your spices and give it a good mix.
  5. Add your chopped tomatoes and tomato paste and half a cup of water
  6. Followed by your frozen diced potatoes and curry leaves
  7. Allow to cook on low and add a little water at a time if it dries up to quickly
  8. Add your frozen peas
  9. Once your potatoes are done, sprinkle with garam masala, chopped coriander and enjoy!
