Aloo Tikki Masala


McCain Aloo Tikki - 8 Aloo Tikki’s for this recipe 

2 tablespoons vegetable oil 

1 onion chopped 

Cinnamon stick 

3 cardamom pods

2 cloves 

2 teaspoons crushed garlic 

Sprig of curry leaf 

1 teaspoon cumin powder 

1 teaspoon coriander powder 

1 teaspoon turmeric 

2 teaspoon chilli powder 

1 can chopped tinned tomatoes 

1/2 cup of cream 

1 teaspoon garam masala 

Chopped coriander 

Salt and pepper to taste 




Prep Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 20 minutes

  1. Bake your Aloo Tikki according to packaging instructions
  2. In a pot sauté onions in oil 
  3. Add cinnamon stick, cardamom pods and cloves
  4. Allow the onions to brown and then add the garlic and curry leaf 
  5. Add all the spices except for the garam masala 
  6. Mix well with the onions and garlic 
  7. Add the chopped tomatoes and salt 
  8. Allow to simmer for 10 - 15 minutes until the tomatoes have softened and oils rises to the top
  9. Mix in the cream 
  10. Place your cooked Aloo Tikki’s in the prepared creamy gravy
  11. Sprinkle with garam masala and chopped coriander and switch the stove off 
  12. Serve with rice, roti or naan bread
