McCain Airfryer Competition – Terms and Conditions

 

1. TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The promoter of this competition is McCain Foods (South Africa) (Pty) Ltd, a company incorporated in the Republic of South Africa and having its registered address at 29 Industry Road, Springs, Gauteng (“McCain”). 

All persons entering (the “entrants”) the McCain Airfryer Competition (the “promotional competition”, alternatively the “competition”) agree that the competition rules as set out in these terms and conditions are binding on them.

2. IMPORTANT NOTICE

These terms and conditions and competition rules contain certain clauses which:

  • may limit the risk or liability of the promoter or a third party; and/or
  • may create risk or liability for the entrant; and/or
  • may compel the entrant to indemnify the promoter or a third party; and/or
  • serve as an acknowledgment of a fact by the entrant.

The entrant’s attention is drawn to these terms and conditions because they are important and should be carefully noted.

The entrant must be an individual, not a juristic person.
Nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to unlawfully restrict, limit, or avoid any rights or obligations created in terms of the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008 (the “CPA”).

By entering, the entrant confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions.

All entrants participate entirely at their own risk. By entering, entrants indemnify and hold harmless McCain, its affiliates, directors, employees, and agents from any liability for damage, cost, injuries, or losses of any nature sustained as a result of participation in the competition or related activities, except where such damage arises from gross negligence or wilful misconduct by McCain.

3. RULES OF THE COMPETITION

This promotional competition opens at 00:01 on 25 November 2025 and closes at 23:59 on 15 December 2025.

The competition is open to all registered shoppers on OneCart, Zulzi, and Pick n Pay ASAP platforms.

To enter, participants must purchase at least five (5) participating products - the products are our McCain Air Fryer Crispers during the competition period on one of the listed e-commerce platforms.

Each valid purchase (per completed transaction) counts as one entry.
Entrants may enter multiple times, provided each entry is linked to a separate qualifying purchase.

Entrants are eligible to win only one (1) prize.

Prize Details:

  • All entrants stand a chance to win a Philips 2000 Series 6.2L Air Fryer valued at R1,499.
  • There will be a total of 50 winners.
  • Prizes are not transferable and may not be exchanged for cash or alternative prizes.
  • Delivery of prizes will be arranged to each winner’s verified address at no additional cost.

4. SELECTION OF WINNERS

Winners will be selected within four (4) weeks of the competition closing date (subject to change without notice).

Winners will be chosen through a random draw from all valid entries received.

Winners will be contacted via email or phone using the contact details linked to their OneCart, Zulzi, or Pick n Pay ASAP account.

If a winner does not respond within seven (7) days of notification, a replacement winner may be selected.

McCain reserves the right to amend, suspend, or terminate the competition at any time without prior notice.

5. GENERAL

This competition is conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Consumer Protection Act, 2008.

Entrants agree that McCain may collect, store, and use their personal information for purposes related to this competition, in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

Winners may be requested to participate in McCain’s publicity campaigns (photographs, social media, or press features), but are entitled to decline such requests.

McCain’s decision regarding any matter related to the competition, including the selection of winners, is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
