Green Bean and Almond Pilaf
1 cup basmati rice
2 cups vegetable broth
1/2 cup slivered almonds
1 tablespoon butter
Salt and pepper to taste

- Steam the McCain Frozen Cut Green Beans according to the package instructions until tender.
- In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the slivered almonds and toast them until golden.
- Stir in the basmati rice and cook for a minute, coating the rice with butter and almonds.
- Pour the vegetable broth into the pot and bring to a boil.
- Reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and simmer for about 15 minutes or until the rice is cooked and the broth is absorbed.
- Add the steamed green beans to the pot, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Fluff the pilaf with a fork and serve as a flavorful side dish.
