Cheesy Broccoli and Chicken Casserole


400g McCain Frozen Broccoli

500g Cooked Chicken, Diced

1 Cup Cooked Rice

1 Cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese

1 Cup Milk

2 Tablespoons All-Purpose Flour

2 Tablespoons Butter

1/2 Teaspoon Garlic Powder

Salt And Pepper to Taste

Olive Oil (For Greasing)


Total Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: 4

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°.
  2. Steam the McCain Frozen Broccoli according to the package Method until tender.
  3. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the all-purpose flour to create a roux.
  4. Gradually add the milk to the roux, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens and becomes smooth.
  5. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper, mixing until the cheese is melted, and the sauce is creamy.
  6. In a greased baking dish, layer the cooked rice, diced chicken, and steamed broccoli.
  7. Pour the cheese sauce over the layers, ensuring everything is evenly coated.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 - 25 minutes until the casserole is bubbly and golden on top.
  9. Serve hot and enjoy your cheesy broccoli and chicken casserole.
