Sweet Potato Cakes


750 grams McCain Rosemary and Garlic Sweet Potato Fries


4 cloves of garlic crushed

Small bunch of fresh coriander chopped

1 teaspoon garam masala

1 teaspoon chilli powder

1 teaspoon paprika

1 bunch spring onions chopped

4 teaspoons flour

Salt and pepper to taste


Serves: Makes 8 sweet potato cakes portions

Prep Time: 5 minutes 

Total Time: 20 – 25 minutes


  1. Cook and roast the McCain Sweet Potato Fries according to package instructions
  2. Once the Sweet Potatoes are cooked, remove and mash it up
  3. To the mashed sweet potatoes, add the garlic, chopped coriander, spring onions, garam masala, chili powder, flour and paprika
  4. Mix well and form into patties
  5. Shallow fry in a little oil until golden and crispy
