Savoury Rice with Teriyaki Chicken

Ingredients

McCain Savoury Rice - 2 packets 

600 grams – cubed 

Oil 

Small bunch of spring onion chopped 

Teriyaki Sauce Ingredients 

1/2 cup light soy sauce 

1 teaspoon garlic powder 

2 teaspoons of sugar 

2 teaspoons corn starch 

2 teaspoons rice wine vinegar 

Salt and pepper to taste 

 

Directions

Prep Time: 5 - 10 minutes 

Total Time: 20 - 25 minutes 

Serves: 4

 

  1. Cook the McCain Savoury Rice according to package instructions 
  2. Combine all the ingredients for the teriyaki sauce and mix well 
  3. Marinate the cubed chicken with 2 tablespoons of the teriyaki sauce 
  4. Heat a large pan on medium to high heat 
  5. Once the oil is hot, fry the chicken in batches until cooked 
  6. Remove the chicken and set aside 
  7. Add the McCain Savoury Rice to the same pan and add the remining teriyaki sauce and chicken 
  8. Combine the chicken and rice 
  9. Adjust the seasoning and sprinkle with chopped spring onions
