Portuguese Chicken Rolls & Chips

Ingredients

McCain Sea Salt & Pepper Oven Chips

600 grams Chicken fillets cut into strips

1 tablespoon garlic paste

1 teaspoon chilli flakes – more if you prefer it spicier

1 teaspoon Italian herbs

1 teaspoon chicken spice  

Salt and pepper

3 tablespoons mayonnaise

3 tablespoons hot sauce of choice

1 tablespoon tomato sauce

1 teaspoon mustard

1 bay leaf

3 teaspoons butter

Portuguese Rolls

Mayonnaise

Red onions Lettuce

Directions

Serves: 4
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 35 minutes

 

  1. Cook the McCain Oven Chips according to package instructions and keep aside
  2. Mix the chicken with the garlic, chilli flakes, Italian herbs, chicken spice and pepper
  3. Fry the chicken in batches and keep aside
  4. To the same pan add, the rest of the sauces with the butter and let it simmer on low
  5. Add the chicken back to the pot and simmer for 2 minutes
  6. Assemble the Portuguese buns with toppings of choice
  7. Serves with a side of McCain Oven Chips
