Masala Steak Chip Bowl (Air Fryer Gatsby Style)

Ingredients

Air Fryer Chips

400 g McCain 10mm Straight Cut Chips

1 teaspoon chilli powder

½ teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon oil

 

Masala Steak

300 g steak, thinly sliced

1 teaspoon garlic and ginger paste

2 teaspoons steak masala

Salt to taste

1 tablespoon oil

 

Tomato & Onion Relish

1 small onion, finely chopped

1 tomato, grated

1 garlic clove, minced

1 teaspoon sugar

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tablespoon oil

 

To Serve

Shredded lettuce

Chilli mayo or spicy sauce

Fresh coriander

Directions

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 30 minutes

 

  1. Toss McCain chips with oil, chilli powder and salt
  2. Air fry at 200°C for 15–18 minutes, shaking halfway, until golden and crispy
  3. Season steak with masala, salt and garlic-ginger paste
  4. Sear in hot oil until just cooked
  5. Set aside
  6. Heat oil and sauté onion
  7. Add garlic, tomato, sugar, salt and pepper
  8. Simmer until thick and saucy
  9. In a bowl, layer air-fried chips, masala steak, and tomato-onion relish
  10. Top with shredded lettuce, drizzle with chilli mayo, and garnish with coriander
  11. Serve immediately.
